Minuteman Founder Endorses Tim Aalders for US Congress

Gilchrist reminds voters John Curtis was mayor of Sanctuary City

Aliso Viejo, CA Minuteman Project Founder and President Jim Gilchrist, the nation’s leading grassroots activist on the issue of immigration reform and border security, announced he is endorsing Tim Aalders in the Republican Primary in Utah’s Third Congressional District.  Gilchrist cited Aalders’s strong stand never supporting amnesty, eliminating Sanctuary Cities, and building a wall that will secure our borders with Mexico.  Polls show that immigration reform and border security remains one of the top issues facing voters of the state of Utah in the upcoming April 25 GOP Convention.

Gilchrist stated, “While the Democrat Mayor of Provo, Utah, John Curtis ran a Sanctuary City and ignored Federal Law and support of Federal Law Enforcement Officers, Tim Aalders was exposing career politicians like Curtis and their refusal to follow the law.  As Congressman John Curtis actually co-sponsored two bills that granted amnesty to illegal farm workers and expanded low-skilled illegal immigration.  He even voted in favor of the Goodlatte-Ryan-Denham Amnesty bill that would granted amnesty to at least 1.8 million illegal aliens.”

Gilchrist continued, “Unlike John Curtis, Tim Aalders will join with President Trump to demand both the Federal and State Government to enforce our laws and our borders.  Aalders truly has a committed stand on the issues of immigration reform and border security and is just the leader Utah needs to end the chaos of illegal immigration.”

Regarding the Utah Republican Primary Gilchrist said, “For too long law abiding Americans have grown tired of watching the political establishment lack the will to enforce our nation’s laws when it comes to border security, immigration policy, and sanctuary cities.  I have no trust in John Curtis. Everything he does shows to me he is a Democrat.  Utah needs someone in Washington DC that will fight on behalf of taxpayers to end the influx of illegal aliens in America, and that is why I wholeheartedly endorse Tim Aalders for Congress.”

Said Aalders, “I am very proud to have received the endorsement of Jim Gilchrist today.  My long track record of never supporting amnesty, demanding that we eliminate Sanctuary Cities, and building something along our border that will secure our borders with Mexico is resolute.”

Aalders further stated, “Jim is right about John Curtis.  He is a Democrat.  He was elected as a Democrat.  He votes like a Democrat.  Republicans across Utah will be looking for a conservative to vote to be their next US Congressman, and I want them to choose the only conservative Republican on the ballot, Tim Aalders.”

Jim Gilchrist founded the multi-ethnic Minuteman Project on Oct. 1, 2004, after years of frustrated efforts trying to get a neglectful U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws.  He was one of the original campaign endorsers of President Trump in the summer of 2015.

Jim Gilchrist is the founder and President of the Minuteman Project, a multi-ethnic grassroots organization dedicated to border security and immigration reform.  For more information see www.MinutemanProject.com
